American punk/rock band with members: Billie Joe Armstrong (vocals, guitar) Mike Dirnt (bass, back vocals, born Michael Ryan Pritchard), and Tré Cool (drums, born Frank Edwin Wright III in Germany). Since their 6th album Jason White has helped the as backup guitarist, but don't want the to include them in the band. The bands success has incluenced Good Charlotte and Simple Plan.
