Doomsday is an upcoming sci-fi movie about a lethal virus threatening the very existence of the human race. The movie stars Thona Mitra and Bob Hoskins and is scheduled for a March 14, 2008 release.
Synopsis
When a lethal virus called the Reaper nearly wipes out the whole of Scotland the rest of the world brutally quarantines the country by walling it of from the rest of the world. The people were left to die so the rest of the world would survive and could move on. 25 years later the virus brutally emerges once again in a major city.
An elite group of specialists is urgently dispatched onto the quarantined Scotland to by any means retrive a cure for the virus. The unit have to battle their way through a landscape that have turned into a waking nightmare.
Opinions
End of the world movies must be on the rise once again, this sounds very much like I Am Legend which just passed by the cinemas. But hey I like end of the world movies and it's from the director of The Descent which I thought was great, time will tell is Doomsday is worth the view or not.
