Synopsis
In Lions for Lambs three different but interconnected stories are tied together. Senator Jasper Irving (Tom Cruise) debates the current crisis in Afghanistan with TV journalist Janine Roth (Meryl Streep) and is about to drop a bombshell story that may affect the fate of the fighting American soldiers. Meanwhile the idealistic professor DR. Stephen Malley (Robert Redford) tries to convince a good student not to give up his studies using two former student who enlisted in the army as an example. Coincidentally both former student are under fire in Afghanistan, the very same crisis that the senator and reporter are debating.
