Indiana Jones 4 - the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is under production and is set to premier later this year so it's time to watch through the previous three movies to get the whole picture.
Raiders of the Lost Ark is the first movie with Indiana Jones and the natural starting place to start watching the series of movies. The next movie to watch is Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and after that it's time for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade which despite the name wasn't the last crusade after all.
Raiders of the Lost Ark was released in 1981 and was directed by Steven Spielberg and it was Harrison Ford who played Indiana Jones. In the movie, the Nazis are searching for the lost Ark of the Covenant to make their army invincible, as it did for the Israelites of the Old Testament, and it is up to archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones to find it first.
