Sara Bareilles born on December 7, 1979 in Humboldt County, California is a singer/songwriter and pianist that without any formal training have been compared with Fiona Apple, Norah Jones and Joni Mitchell.
At the age of 18 she left home and moved to Los Angeles where she attended UCLA's communications program, but most of the time Bareilles spent exploring the city and writing poetry and songs about it. After graduating she spent the following 3 years performing those songs at open-mike nights slowly building her confidence as a musician.
In April 2005 she signed a contract with Epic Records and producer Eric Rosse toke her under his winds and spent about a year perfecting her skills for her first major release in July 2007.
The Love Song music video is also her first single and comes from her first album Little Voice.
