Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a 2008 animated science fiction movie in the popular series of Star Wars movies. The Clone Wars is scheduled for a August 15, 2008 release in the US.
This is a very special movie in the Star Wars series since according to wikipedia it's the first animated Star Wars movie to be released to theaters, it's the first movie not released in May and it is finally the first movie not released by 20th Century Fox. The movie is intended to precede the animated TV series with the same name that will be broadcasted on Cartoon Network.
Synopsis
The Clone Wars is raging on between the Separatists and the Galactic Republic. However when Jabba the Hutt's Son is taken by a group of renegades two Jedis are summoned to look further into this matter. Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi depart in search of answers on where the Hutt's son is and who this mysterious renegade group is working for. Before leaving Yoda sends Ahsoka Tano as Anakin's apprentice. Obi-Wan encounters a duel between Asajj Ventress. Anakin finds himself dueling Count Dooku once more. However, the Sith have plans to create a three-way war, including the Hutts.
