The Counterfeiters with the original title Die Fälscher is a 2007 fictional Austrian/German movie about the Nazis secret plan called Operation Bernhard during WWII. Operation Bernhard was aimed at destabilize the United Kingdom by flooding its economy with forged currency.
The movie is bases on the memoirs by Adolf Burger a professional printer who was imprisoned in 1942 for his political opinions and later put to work on Operation Bernhard.
Synopsis
Towards the end of World War II, the National Socialists forged millions of British pounds in order to weaken the enemy's economy. A counterfeiting plant was set up with prisoners in the concentration camp in Sachsenhausen.
If you like WWII movies this will most certainly be worth checking out, I will probably watch it based on the historical aspect of the movie.
