Tropic Thunder is an upcoming 2008 action comedy movie starring Den Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. Through a series of events a group of actors shooting a big-budget war movie are forced to become the soldiers they are portraying. Tropic Thunder hits theaters on August 15, 2008.
Synopsis
Ben Stiller plays a big action star with lots of movies to his credit. While filming the next big-budget war movie in Vietnam they stumble into a war with drug lords who think the movie stars are the DEA. The stars believe there are hidden cameras and that they are still in production and they continue to act like they are making their epic war movie.
Update: Today we got an email from a friend that told us about three new sites going live for this movie. The sites are dedicated to three of the roles in the movie: simplejackmovie.com, tuggspeedman.com and scorchermovie.com.
The sites are both nicely done and the idea is cool :-)
