Theo Jansen is a kinetics sculpture. He creates kinetic sculptures powered by the wind, allowing them to walk in the wind. This is as close you can get to todays equivalence of Leonardo da Vinci. It all began when he built a big flying saucer, that actually flew over the town Delft back in 1980. Now he focuses on walking wind driven "animals" populating the beaches in Holland.
