Left the system when I saw Benny "The Jet" Urquidez beat our best fighter in the HKA in Hawaii with great ease. First grade versus PhD is what it amounted to. Pretend fighting no match for real thing.

The karate fighter was a putz. He stood there like an idiot and let himself get whupped. What degree black belt was this guy? Not to take anything away from the jujutsu fighter...he did a good job.

This was definitely real. Jiu Jitsu is no joke and it has defeated every style to date. NO one in MMA fights seriously without learning Jiu Jitsu.

a real karate guy could fight a grappler because karet has ground fighting in it like the arm bar collar chokes etc etc

Irish Bloke............quite a bold statement. We should have faith in nothing in this life without quantifiable evidence. There is tons of evidence out there that suggests BJJ is the better delivery system for real fighting. Would you care to show us a body of evidence that suggests otherwise?

This guy must live under a rock to fight a BJJ guy like that. Don't think it's fake just that this guy sucks. A shotokan fighter with a little understanding of BJJ is virtually unbeatable.

Fight's not staged. If a katate fighter is unfamiiar with Brazilian jiujitsu then he will look like a fool. You don't have to stage it, you just have to do it. The Gracie family challenged every karate studio in every town they went to and the jiujitsu player never lost a single fight. The karate guys do not know how to fight once they are taken to the ground.
