This video is some months old now but since we are trying to collect all Nissan GT-R videos worth watching we are including this since it's a great video about the GT-R.
Let me start out with pointing out that Fifth Gear also thinks that this super car is a barging since it will scare the Porsche 911 Turbo. They also points out that the car have got more technology then the whole of Tokyo.
But what they think is the most fantastic about the car is not the mind blowing power but the fact that it's a car that is easy and pleasurable to drive. It's not impossible to get a clear view from the car and you are not being shaken to bits and peaces like most other super cars. But I must say many other reviewers have stated that the dampers are too hard for normal roads outside Japan, and that's even in the when they are set to comfort.
The specifications
Time to crunch some Nissan GT-R numbers for all you specification junkies out there (yeah I'm one to :P).
The engine is a Twin Turbocharged 3.8 liter V6 and it produces 473 horsepower’s, however this figure varies between engines since each engine is hand built. Most reports state high horsepower figures which is really nice.
This engine enables the car to go 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds and it only takes 11.7 seconds to the quarter mile. The top speed is 192 mph.
The gearbox is a twin-clutch gearbox which enables the gearbox to change gears in 0.2 seconds, i guess this works much the same as the VW/Audi DSG gearbox.
