We cant figure out what this commercial has to do with Captain Morgan's rum but the commercial is genially clever and funny.
The plot is basically that this guy at the bar answering his phone who is supposed to be to sick to come to the calling girls cousin's wedding, the girl asks the guy if he is at a bar and is obviously mad at him so he have to convince her that he is actually sick and at home watching tv. The other bar guests imitate the stupidity of television by simulating the channels flipping.

I agree it's brilliant, especially compared to previous Captain Morgan spots, which seemed to position the product as being for teenage boys looking to get drunk quickly. This one portrays Captain Morgan drinkers as being amiable, quick-witted and clever. It has given me a much more positive view of the brand.
