But first did you know that it was the ancient Egyptians that invented the Marshmallow candy by thickening honey with extract from the root of the marshmallow plant. I actually didn't know that their existed something like the Marshmallow plant, hopefully you also learned something new today.
The modern Marshmallow typically consists of sugar or corn syrup, water, gelatin, dextrose and flavorings all whipped to a spongy consistency.
