Tofu is one of the things that I can't eat but I'm none the less interested in how it's manufactured and therefore I'm bringing you this how it's made episode.
Yes this video show you the inside of a tofu factory where they turn soy beans into blocks of tofu. The process is pretty much to soak the dry soy beans in water for a couple of hours and then crushing them into a grainy soup. Then the soup is turned into a paste by cooking it, then the milk is separated from the pulp using a centrifuge. The milk is what is used to make tofu by adding coagulant , the pulp is used as cattle and pet food.
