Johnny Rodney Mullen is a professional skateboarder born in Florida on August 17, 1966. Rodney Mullen is by many considered to be one of the most influential skaters in the history of skateboarding, and is credited with inventing many tricks throughout the 1980s.
When Rodney as an 11 years old boy finished in third place on a freestyle event he attracted the attention of Walker Skateboards who signed him to a contract. For the next 10 years Rodney finished in first place in every contest that he participated in.
