Last time we wrote about the Tesla roadster was when they arranged a test drive of the prototype, but this time it's the production car that is being tested.
All 650 Tesla roadsters planned for 2008 production is already reserved and the first batch of cars will be delivered in the first quarter of the year and a few lucky Americans will get their new environmental friendly toy. The Tesla Roadster goes for a stinging $100,000 but it's definitely more exclusive then most Ferrari and Lamborghini's on the market.
The video is from Autobloog Green as they visited the Tesla headquarters to meet the company and most importantly take the roadster for a spin. By looking at the post from their visit I am only disappointed on one point with the roadster and that is the all to spartan interior of the car, if I were to put out $100,000 I would definitely expect something more from the interior.
Either way we are very excited about the future of Tesla and even though we think it will be very though they could make it and become an established auto maker but it will take time and serious money to play nice with the other more established companies.
